HowdyMy name is Scott, I am a grad student at UT Arlington. I have a great ieretnst in aquaponics and will be doing my Keystone Project (Thesis) investigating an aquaponic installment in the Austin area. The greater end being I would like to open an aquaponic farm in the greater Austin area in the future.I am familiar with the basic operations of aquaponics, but have not take any structured aquaponics training as of yet. There are many training facilities, so it has been a daunting task to choose one. Also, I would like to take training at a farm level as opposed to a backyard one. Not that I couldn't learn from a backyard seminar, but my time and funds are limited so I have to try and get as much bang for my buck on classes, in addition to my school schedule.I am in the process of contacting the agricultural extension office about the farm start up process, and I have someone to help me with the business plan.I could use some assistance with information on the demand and market of farm products. As I am sure you know, it is hard to decide what to populate your acreage with. Also, I have been looking for information on CSA-vs-Direct sales model. Both seem to have their benefits and risks. With so much information available, it has been difficult to decide which model to choose. Any information or direction you could share would be greatly appreciated.Anyway, thank you for any help or advice you can share. Thanks for your time.Have a great day!  +Always happy to see another good westbie about fragrance free living. Please note that there are more possible reactions to fragrance including asthma, seizures, loss of speech, anayphylaxis, sudden changes in blood pressure and in my case even stroke caused by paroxysmal coughing associated with the irritation of fragrance.
